Discover the Community Cooperation Board’s mission to empower education in Pakistan
The Community Cooperation Board (CCB) was born from the collective spirit of the people of Village: Pacha Kaly PirBaba in 2003, emerging during a time when our community recognized the urgent need to address educational disparities affecting our children, particularly girls. Founded by dedicated local residents who witnessed firsthand the challenges facing families in District Buner, CCB began as a grassroots response to limited school infrastructure and cultural barriers that prevented many young women from pursuing their education.
Located in the heart of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's District Buner, our organisation operates on the fundamental Pashtun principle of "cooperation" – working together for the common good. We understand that sustainable change happens from within communities, not imposed from outside. This philosophy guides our collaborative approach with village councils, religious leaders, parents, and local government officials to create educational solutions that respect our cultural values while expanding opportunities for all.
We believe in a holistic approach to education that addresses not just academic needs, but also the social and economic factors that can prevent individuals from pursuing their educational goals. Through partnerships with local schools, scholarship programs, mentorship initiatives, and community workshops, we create comprehensive support systems for learners of all ages.
Education should be accessible to everyone, regardless of gender, background, or economic status.
We empower individuals through education to become leaders and change-makers in their communities.
We work together with communities, families, and institutions to create lasting educational impact.
We embrace new approaches and technologies to make education more effective and accessible.
